The efficient and precise Digital Photo Colorimeter (VSI-08/09) is one of the finest Digital Photo Colorimeters. Digital Photo Colorimeters VSI-08 and VSI-09 are available with 8 and 5 filters respectively. The output is available on a 2½ digit red LED display in terms of Optical Density (OD) with Accuracy of +-0.5% FSD +- 1 digit. High standard glass filters covering the complete visible range from 400-700nm are mounted on a rotating disc, 6.8V Tungsten Lamp as a light source and a highly sensitive photocell makes the instrument rugged, accurate and are very economical in maintenance. The Battery/Mains Operated Models of Digital Colorimeters are also available.

A minimum sample volume of 1 ml. is required to carry out the analysis. Provision has been made to switch-on the lamp source only when required, thereby increasing the life of the photo diode. The output is available on 16x2 lines alphanumeric LCD display in terms of percentage Transmission (% T) & Absorbance (Abs.). The use of micro-controller has made these Microprocessor Digital Photo Colorimeters extremely versatile and state of the art instrument.

This Microprocessor Digital Photo Colorimeter operates at wavelength between 400 to 700 nm ranges with Accuracy of +-0.02 O.D./Abs. A minimum sample volume of 1 ml is required to carry out the analysis. It has Auto Zeroing facility. The use of high standard wide range glass filters covering 400 to 700 nm in the monochromator gives extremely good results. The filter setting is controlled by a rotating disc having 8 filters. An automatic shutter is provided to stop the light reaching the sensor, when test tube is not inserted in the tube holder. This increases the life of sensor tremendously.
